About Us

We are a medical device distributorship that provides the best technologies alongside unparalleled service and support.

A Full-Service Medical Technologies Distributor

As a distributor, we sell medical devices, but NEA Medical is much more than that. We vet every product before offering it to our clients, and many devices don’t make the cut. Why? Because we only sell products we would personally use, that we would trust a doctor to use for our loved ones.

We are also passionate about sharing the benefits of regenerative medicine with the world. That means our job never stops at a sale. We provide ongoing technical and scientific support for every one of our products, including:

  • E-support from our in-house regenerative medicine experts
  • Marketing assistance, including educational pamphlets and videos
  • Startup assistance with staff education and process development consultation to help ensure the entire office is ready for regenerative medicine
  • Access to regenerative medicine protocols developed by key opinion leaders

We asked our clients what we do best, and they told us overwhelmingly: regenerative medicine. We offer class-leading support for physicians starting and growing their regenerative practices.

Our Story

CEO Nikos Anastassiades’ journey into the world of spine injuries began in 1992. An international hammer and discus thrower for Cyprus, Nikos’ promising athletic career was cut short at the age of 25 when he injured his spine while training as a thrower at the University of Oregon. After a Wide Open Discectomy left him in excruciating pain for six months, only to be followed by two more back surgeries over the next three years that rendered him unable to even pick up his then young son, he began to search for a better way.

The more Nikos learned, the more word spread that he was a valuable resource for others seeking advice about their own spinal injuries. And Nikos is passionate about helping everyone he could, so that no one would have to go through what he did. For ten years, he used the knowledge garnered from his own experiences – plus his background in hospitality and his ever-growing human network – to help facilitate friends’ and family members’ medical travel to pain centers all over the world. In 2009, Nikos knew he had found his path, when he helped establish an international spine center in Cyprus.

During his time with the spine institute, Nikos was able to meet the professionals who are leading the field of regenerative medicine, as well as the leading minds and medical experts in minimally invasive spine surgery. This facilitated him to explore the breakthroughs they were making with new technologies. He witnessed first-hand, virtually miraculous recoveries of spinal cord injury patients who had, previous to their treatments, no hope for an improvement in the quality of their life. For eight years, he crisscrossed the globe helping to educate people about these new regenerative medicine technologies, as well as educating people on the latest minimally invasive spine surgical techniques and technologies, always with the goal of helping make them more accessible to anyone and everyone who could benefit from them or Medical Professionals who could help their patients by giving access to these technologies.

After his family immigrated to the U.S. from Cyprus in mid 2014, Nikos followed a few months after with the dream of opening a stateside organization that would distribute the technologies Nikos was promoting in Europe as well as making the regenerative medicine procedures he worked with accessible to everyone in the U.S. Ironically, most of the technologies that Nikos was already working with in Europe, were U.S. developed and produced technologies that were only recently granted FDA approval. January 1, 2015. NEA Medical was born.

Beth has more than 25 years of international experience in the hospitality, event planning and medical technologies industry. Her mother and aunt were the founding members of Pacific Interpreters which developed into one of the largest medical interpretation organizations in the U.S. Through this, Beth had the opportunity to work with hospitals throughout the U.S. incorporating cutting edge technologies that increased productivity and decreased costs for hospitals. Beth oversees all the implementation of new projects and the day-to-day operations at NEA. She is the former Captain of the women’s golf team at the University of Oregon, enjoys pilates, yoga, and travel; as well as following her children’s athletic & professional careers.

Katy Moncivais, PhD

Dr. Moncivais lives to bring the beneficial technologies at the intersection of science, medicine, and engineering into as many lives as possible.

She began that work at Rice University where she engineered living cellular stents to express anti-clotting agents while completing her BS in Bioengineering. She used her graduate studies to dive into the world of stem cell differentiation and protein engineering, which led her to Texas-based startup company Celling Biosciences at the completion of her PhD. There, she was part of the engineering team responsible for creating one of the most innovative bone marrow concentration devices on the market and pioneered workflow solutions and best practices that still define many of the most successful regenerative medicine practices.

Dr. Moncivais has been an independent regenerative medicine consultant since 2017 and spends her days partnering with innovative physicians, practices, and hospitals as they bring autologous, regenerative medicine technologies into their service offerings. She provides scientific, marketing, and operations guidance alongside an enthusiastically infectious passion for all things regenerative medicine. She has a BS, MS, and PhD in Bioengineering and has published and made more presentations on regenerative medicine than she can count.
